Credit Reports
Getting yourself into debt is easy, some say almost inevitable
in the consumer society we live in. Your credit history is important
in the world today and maintaining you good credit is important.
What causes your credit report to be negative?
Credit cards, loans, mortgages and payday advances pushed at us
from adverts every where we turn. TV, radio, movies and newspapers,
even the drive to work is littered with billboards of informing
us of ways we can easily get money that isn't yours, all done with
a smile and by people whom we trust. Banks, mortgage companies,
building societies offering to lend us money, even the local toy
store has credit cards that offer cheap borrowing - BUY NOW PAY
LATER. Ironically enough, it's these same people that add to your
credit report when you have problems
and who also check your credit report
to decide if you are a risk or not.
What these ads fail to say is what 'pay later' might actually mean
and that your repayment might cost more than mere money or even
material good.
Getting your self into bad debt can be a stress heath risk and
my cause any number of suffering to you, your family and friends.
How can we prevent our credit report going bad?
So how can this be prevented?, unfortunately, like quitting smoking
or dieting, in many cases the simple answer is will power. Although
this may not apply to every one, the best cure is to resist the
pull of the advertisments to gain the new product and make do with
what you have, fix the broken and not care what people think.
How will seeing my credit report help?
If you think your credit history is suffering, get hold of your
credit report. Everyone is entitled to see it and a credit
report can show you how bad things are and start you on the
road to gaining your good debt back.
